I have zero French skills, but wanted to take a stab in the dark anyway…
Better get them off these islands before they drown. Where could these tidal refugee victims of global warming go though? How about here? Obama could buy up some of the forclosures with stimulus money and create additional Section 8 housing for them. Then help exercise their new citizenship by registering them to vote and having ACORN give them some remedial poll training like they do in Chicago. Far fetched? Senator Chuck Schumer wants to grant visas to foreigners who are willing to buy a home here.
I think the distinction of being the poster boy for the bad science of global warming has to go to Al Gore. I also think Ayn Rand warned about people like him:
“When you see that in order to produce, you need to obtain permission from men who produce nothing; when you see that money is flowing to those who deal not in goods, but in favors; when you see that men get rich more easily by graft than by work, and your laws no longer protect you against them, but protect them against you…you may know that your society is doomed.”–Ayn Rand

Bruce: Everything is grist to your mill! Imag8native as usual. There was a central point to this French news release. When I have time, I will write a more detailed essay on the same topic in English
