I am guessing the indignation about Dr Carson among liberals is sincere although it was triggered by another poisonous, shameless leftist media attack. Put yourself in their place: How would it feel to have Ms. Clinton and the “socialist” senator from Maine as your only candidates for high office? Wouldn ‘t it feel as if you if you lost, you lost, and if you won the election you would lose too? Would it not make you bitter? Might it cloud your judgment, drive you a little crazy with envy ? Would it not induce impotent sincere rage?
It has reached the point where many liberals have stopped completely trying to defend Ms Clinton’s basic honesty. I am guessing (guessing again) that they have figured it’s hopeless and they are waiting with shoulders hunched the next installment of the tragic emails soap opera. Ms Clinton relies increasingly on her possession of a vagina to get elected. As for the Senator from Maine, I feel I know him well. He is about my age. We might have gone to graduate school together in the seventies. I had colleagues like him then, “socialists” and “communists.” Some did not learn anything even from the communist self-genocide in Cambodia (Look up “Khmer Rouges.”) Some did not notice that Communist Vietnam is just about where it would be if it had not sacrificed a million of its sons: a favored sweatshop for apparel multinationals. Some learned nothing from the impressive opening up of Soviet archives which showed that evil power to have been even worse than anyone in the democratic West had imagined. And the quick emptying of “Socialist” East Germany into West Germany just as soon as death ceased to be the punishment for fleeing made no impression on them.
The second favorite Democratic candidate, for the next presidential election, good old, Bernie, seems to have learned nothing at all during his long life. If he had, he would have realized that calling himself a “socialist” stopped being cute even before he reached his midlife crisis. His obduracy in this respect demonstrates a tremendous lack of historical judgment. What it shows about his followers, I am not sure because most went to public schools. So, you can’t readily blame them. This being said, I am sure Bernie is an honest person, unlike his presumed competitor. If I bumped into him a a bar, I just might buy him a drink. I am sure we would be on a first name basis right away. We might even share a joint. (I am a Santa Cruz, California Republican, what can I tell you!) I am sure Bernie is not a Communist. Ms Clinton though reminds me of “African socialists” of the sixties: Everything belongs to “society.” My buddies and I are society.
Sinister choice! Good reason to go and lynch brilliant, courageous Dr Carson, who thinks he deserves to run for President just because he saved hundreds of small children, the uppity nigger!
